DS408 is compatible with Windows ADS domain. Windows domain users are able to access data shared from DS408 when they pass the Active Directory authentication. This will greatly save your time on creating large amount of accounts for the domain users. This server allows you to create RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, or RAID 6 volume on it. Just got a new Dell PowerEdge 2950 III with 2 Xeon Quad-Core @ 2.3Ghz, 1333Mhz FSB, 4GB Memory, four 15K RPM SAS Hard Drives, and a DRAC 5 Card. Decided to give a little tour of the hardware for people unfamiliar with rack mount servers and how they fit everything in there.
